Who keeps this reading room

retatrutidereddit.com is an independent academic blog. I write it alone, from public material only: published clinical research, public community threads, and the documents organisations publish about themselves. The site has no sponsor, no advertising relationship with anyone it writes about, and no financial interest, direct or indirect, in any company or compound it names.

Two names appear on every entry because two roles exist. <a href="/about/#ines-halvard">Ines Halvard</a>, founding editor, reads the public threads behind each entry and writes the first draft. <a href="/about/#tobin-reyes">Tobin Reyes</a>, literature reviewer, checks each summary against the source it cites and removes anything that outruns its evidence.

The editorial roles

<b id="ines-halvard">Ines Halvard - founding editor.</b> Background in life-science writing and technical documentation. Ines's standing rule is that a claim repeated often is still a claim, and that a study result is still only a study result.

<b id="tobin-reyes">Tobin Reyes - literature reviewer.</b> Background in peptide pharmacology literature appraisal. Tobin reviews every entry before publication with one instruction: keep the caveats as readable as the content around them.

How the two layers are separated

Every entry distinguishes published research from community discussion. Community opinion is summarised as what people say, never as what is true; no username is reproduced and no sentence is quoted verbatim. Published material is read on its own terms, with cohort size, endpoint and observation window named where the source names them.

The separation is the whole method. It is why this site can discuss a phrase that circulates widely without ever asserting what that phrase means in practice, and why some pages here are deliberately short on answers: the honest position on some questions is that the public record does not settle them.

Lower-case naming convention

Every molecule, brand, company, agency and platform name on this site is written in lower case, including at the start of a sentence. The convention is editorial, not disrespectful: it keeps nominative reference visually separate from the editorial voice, and it stops any third-party name from reading as a headline endorsement.

Corrections and update rhythm

Entries carry an update date in the byline and are revisited when the public record changes materially. Corrections are applied to the text and, when they change a filed claim type, noted in the entry itself rather than quietly rewritten.
